BECOMING activity for Master Class LEADERSHIP: Jan 10

Hope you are having a great break :).  Just lookin' ahead a little, I realized that we didn't post our activity/project for Master class for Week 1 leadership yet, so here it is!
You have learned all about trials, heroes, and courage to get ready for this week.  Let's put it to the test!  WE ARE GOING TO PUT YOUR HEROES ON TRIAL! Mwa-ha-ha!
Whether your hero is Martin Luther, Joan of Arc, or Frodo Baggins, we are going to really examine what made these heroes tick...and then see if we have anything in common with them!

To get a little background, read the quote below and watch the animated clip
"What trials unite not only Harry Potter or Frodo Baggins but many of literature's most interesting heroes? And what do ordinary people have in common with these literary heroes? Matthew Winkler takes us step-by-step through the crucial events that make or break a hero."
Watch this:

Then read/watch some of your personal hero classic journeys before class to review them (books, movies, etc.), pick your favorite one, then bring quotes, clips, presentations, etc. as we put your heroes on trial!  You are the defense lawyer...prove they are heroes with evidence and quotes.  We'll see who really proves to be a hero in the end!
(Please let us know by Wed, Jan 8th, if you are planning on attending Master Class for Journeyman on Friday, Jan 10th at Sister Moore's house, from 10-12, so we can make sure we have everything we need for everyone coming.)
Please contact Sister Biesinger if you have any questions about this class.
